While sunshine is a good source for Vitamin D, make sure it doesn’t get the best of you by protecting yourself with a good SPF. This includes lip balm too. Applying sunscreen, even when you’re not out in a bathing suit, is a good step to help avoid damage.
What about the summer snacking you’ll likely be doing while adventuring away from your house? Avoid being tempted by fried food and boardwalk snacks by packing your own healthy meals full of vegetables and fruits. Sweet fruit salads are a great alternative to satisfy your sugar craving and will taste even better if kept cold in a cooler.
Finally, remember to limit the consumption of sugary drinks like soda or sports drinks. Keep lots of H2O handy for hydration and washing away food particles.
