92% of all adults have at least one cavity by the age of 64. But it does not mean YOU have to be among them, , especially when cavities are preventable.
So how do you become one of the 8%? Suit up, practice your battle cry and step inline with these 3 tips:
1. Brush up your dental defense.
A basic dental routine is the first line of defense when you go to war with tooth decay. Brush twice a day for at least two minutes and floss once a day. Your dentist also might recommend adding a mouth rinse.
Also, enlist your dentist’s help. Make an appointment at least once a year (your dentist may recommend more often) to remove any plaque and check for early enemy signs of decay.
2. At ease, cravings!
If you’re battling with a sweet tooth, here are some great alternatives to help you scare away sugary opponents.
3. Seal any breaches.
Think of sealants as reinforcement to your cavity-fighting army. Sealants are a thin, plastic shield placed on your tooth’s grooved surface to prevent bacteria from making a base camp.
