It’s that time of year again where we make promises to ourselves in the hopes that we will be better in the coming year. And setting goals for oral health is no different. Hopefully these oral health resolutions are so achievable that keeping your promise to yourself will be easy!
Here are some suggested oral health resolutions to get you started.
- Eat healthier – no soda and less sugar in my diet. More veggies and fruit.
- Always floss every day.
- Visit the dentist twice this year.
- Drink more water – help clean away mouth debris.
- Stop smoking!
- Start timing my tooth-brushing and make sure I’m doing it for more than two minutes.
No matter what your oral health resolution, the important part is sticking to it. So, how do you make that happen? Start small and set easy goals. If you want to drink more water, such as, start by drinking one whole water bottle while you are at work. Then move it up to two. Once you are there, add one at home too. And so on.
