The Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation is now accepting grant applications from Virginia non-profit organizations seeking funding for initiatives to improve oral health. Applications are being accepted through September 30, 2014.
In December 2013, grants totaling $716,000 were awarded to 30 oral health organizations and educational institutions for use in 2014 toward work that positively improves the oral health of Virginians through education, expansion of access to care for the under or uninsured, or research to advance oral health.
“Our model is to provide the financial support needed by non-profit organizations that understand the specific oral health issues in their communities so that together we can increase the number of healthy smiles and healthier Virginians,” said George A. Levicki, president, Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation. “We strongly encourage eligible organizations that are working to improve oral health in their communities to apply for a grant.”
Organizations eligible to receive grants include governmental agencies or educational institutions, entities holding a 501(c)(3) tax-exemption, or organizations with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt fiscal sponsor.
