All she wanted for Christmas was a full set of teeth. And that’s what Brenda Jackson got, thanks to the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic in Fredericksburg, VA. Brenda (pictured) is 60 years old and has a lot to smile about. She has 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren and has made positive changes in the past few years that have tremendously improved her quality of life. Brenda was addicted to crack cocaine for 22 years before she finally beat her habit in 2007.
Unfortunately, the periodontal disease caused by her addiction was so severe that her teeth were literally falling out. That’s why the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic’s volunteer dentists extracted all of her teeth in 2010. Following the procedure, Brenda’s face became hollow due to the absence of teeth, but the Clinic changed that by giving Brenda a brand new full set of teeth. She no longer has to hide her smile and loves feeling comfortable smiling again. She says it felt wonderful receiving her new teeth and it “was like getting a Christmas gift.”
The Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation is proud to support the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic in helping people like Brenda improve their oral health and overall quality of life.
